Bank of Marin has appointed Chris Rosell as vice president and private banker for Sonoma County. Previously, he served as a commercial loan officer at Sonoma Bank. Rosell will be based in Petaluma in the bank's North McDowell office. Its Private Banking program offers dedicated bankers who coordinate all banking matters, including loan requests, foreign exchange needs and wealth management.

Sandra Reed, a veteran landscape architect, has joined Green Valley Consulting Engineers, a Santa Rosa civil engineering, land surveying, landscape architecture and construction management firm. A Petaluma resident, Reed has designed landscaping for downtown Petaluma, Napa Valley College and the Healing Garden at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

Jonathan Coe, president and chief executive of the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce, has received a Regional Sustainable Development Fellowship from the American Chamber of Commerce of Executives. The 12-month program funds projects that create sustainable, inclusive prosperity within a region.

Jill Silvas, branch manager of Pacific Union International's office in Sonoma, received the H. Cris Collie Legacy Award from the Worldwide ERC Foundation for Workforce Mobility. The award recognizes excellence in the industry that helps companies and workers move to new locations.

David K. Romero has joined the Principal Financial Group, based in its Healdsburg office. Romero will serve as a financial services representative, assisting clients with their life, disability, long-term care, medical, retirement, and investment strategies.

Empire College has won the School of the Year Award from the California Association of Private Postsecondary Schools. Roy Hurd is president and Sherie Hurd is vice president for marketing and administration at the college, which offers a law degree program and training in legal and medical office careers, office administration, tourism and hospitality, accounting, and computer network administration and security.

Western Pacific Solar, a Santa Rosa company that designs and installs commercial and residential solar energy systems, announced several promotions and hires.

Michael Ingram has been promoted to chief engineer and manager of operations, responsible for engineering, systems design and operations for residential and business applications.

Loretta O'Connell, a principal in the company, has been named vice president and director of marketing. She was previously officer of McCann-Erickson Advertising.

Nicole Caughell, a fellow of the Leadership Institute for Ecology and Economy, is sales services associate.

Brad Butler, formerly with Admiral Energy, is appointed solar energy analyst and manager for green energy window applications.

Alan Christie is appointed solar energy electrical analyst for residential and commercial design.

Dr. Brian Prystowsky, pediatrician, recently joined the medical staff of Southwest Community Health Center. He works at its family practice clinic in southwest Santa Rosa on Lombardi Court and at its Chanate Family Practice Center in northeast Santa Rosa.

Paul Sofranko has joined Murnane Floors as a sales consultant. Previously with Carpet Brokers, Sofranko has been in the flooring business for more than 25 years.
