Highway 101 work to close Rohnert Park street

A key section of Commerce Boulevard in Rohnert Park will be closed overnight for two weeks starting tonight, because of highway reconstruction, officials said.
The section of the boulevard that crosses beneath Highway 101, in north Rohnert Park, will be closed between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. as part of a project adding new north and southbound lanes to the highway.
Crews will close the street between Golf Course Drive and Wilfred Avenue nightly until Friday, Nov. 13, Caltrans spokesman Bob Haus said.
Cross traffic will be detoured along either Redwood Highway or Commerce Boulevard on the highway’s east side south to Rohnert Park Expressway.
Regular updates on the project — which will replace the Wilfred Avenue overcrossing — can be accessed through http://twitter.com/Sonoma101.
The $38 million construction project is expected to be finished by August 2012.
