The Petaluma Fire Department received 63 medical and 33 fire or other emergency calls from Oct. 26 to Nov. 1. Here are some of the incidents the department responded to.
SATURDAY, OCT. 31
4:33 a.m. — Petaluma fire personnel joined other fire agencies to put out a fire in a two-story, single-family home on Stage Gulch Road. The blaze burned a considerable amount of the structure of the house and its contents, which included a marijuana-growing area.
6:03 a.m. — A 21-year-old Tomales motorcyclist was put on advanced life support and transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital after he was involved in an accident on Two Rock Road, near Carmody Road.
9:29 a.m. — The engine compartment of a Toyota Camry caught fire on northbound Highway 101, just north of the Old Redwood Highway overpass. Fire crews extinguished the blaze, but couldn’t determine its origin.
THURSDAY, OCT. 29
7:33 p.m. — Firefighters used dirt to extinguish a small debris blaze along Maria Drive.
WEDNESDAY, OCT. 28
7:46 a.m. — A small fire on top of a dresser was extinguished by a resident on the 600 block of D Street.
12:03 p.m. — A Petaluma motorcyclist complained of ankle pain after a motorcycle fell on her in a parking lot on the 2200 block of the South McDowell Boulevard Extension. She was with her father, practicing riding, when the accident occurred.
MONDAY, OCT. 26
1:38 p.m. — A 67-year-old Petaluma bicyclist was transported to Petaluma Valley Hospital after he was hit by a vehicle on Industrial Avenue, near Corona Road.
