Santa Rosa bike crash critically injures man

<p>A man riding a bicycle was critically injured Sunday afternoon in Santa Rosa when he struck a tree and sustained a head injury.</p><!-- Nothing to do. The paragraph has already been output --><p>The bicyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was riding downhill, westbound on the sidewalk of Fountain Grove Parkway when he struck a tree just east of Round Barn Boulevard, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department. He was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.</p><p>Alcohol might have been a factor in the accident that occurred at about 4:15 p.m., according to a police report that did not identify the rider. The report described him as being in his 40s.</p><p>On Sunday night, police were still searching for witnesses to the accident and asked anyone with information to call 543-3636.</p>
