Santa Rosa cyclist remains in critical condition

A bicyclist severely injured when he crashed into a tree on Fountaingrove Parkway remained hospitalized Monday in critical condition, according to Santa Rosa police.

Jeffrey Clark, 49, of Santa Rosa was injured at about 4:15 p.m. Sunday as he rode down the west side of the steep hill near Round Barn Boulevard.

He wasn’t wearing a helmet.

Clark was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. Monday he was in critical but stable condition.

Traffic officers are hoping someone saw the accident and can help with the investigation. Sgt. Doug Schlief asked witnesses to call officers at 543-3636.
