Native Petaluman Cathleen Evans died on Oct. 30, 2009 at her home in Marshall. She was 88.
Ms. Evans started her nursing career in Petaluma. In 1950, she and her family moved to Marshall where she and husband, Harold Evans, owned and operated the Tomales Bay Boat Shop.
Missing her days as a caregiver, she continued her nursing career in Point Reyes Station.
In retirement, she enjoyed hiking, camping and fishing with her friends and family.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Harold Evans; children, Dan Evans, Jerry Evans and Cathy Rogers; brother, Fred Volkerts; grandchildren; nieces; and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Georgina Evans and Wilbur Volkerts.
Per her request, there will be no services.
