Veteran wine industry publicist George Rose has been hired by Healdsburg's J Vineyards & Winery to head up its trade and consumer public relations efforts. A master sommelier and author of the 2008 Wine Country photo book "The Art of Terroir," Rose brings more than 18 years of wine experience and media relations to J Vineyards & Winery. He previously was in a similar position at Kendall-Jackson.

Mary Celestre, Petaluma branch manager of Summit State Bank, has been elected to the board of directors for Petaluma Ecumenical Properties Housing.
Celestre has been actively involved in the nonprofit's fundraising events, dinners and auctions for the past nine years. PEP Housing provides affordable housing, housing support services and advocacy for the low-income community.
Joseph Turfa has joined Redwood Credit Union's team of financial advisers. Turfa, who has more than 13 years' experience in financial advising, will be serving members in the Marin, San Francisco and Napa communities with financial planning services. He was most recently in a similar position with Axa Advisors in San Francisco.
Michelle Bertram has recently been promoted to director of operations at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa. She has more than 10 years of hospitality experience, and most recently was the luxury inn's director of human resources.
Penngrove real estate agents Joseph and Barbara Perry have joined Prudential California Realty in Rohnert Park as a team. Barbara Perry holds a masters in business administration from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. Joseph Perry is an electrical engineer and sales professional.
Audubon Canyon Ranch, a Stinson Beach-based environmental group, elected several new members to its board of directors. They include Peter Erhlich of Petaluma and Stephen L. Smith of Santa Rosa.
The group's preserves include the Cypress Grove Research Center on Tomales Bay, the 535-acre Bouverie Preserve near Glen Ellen and the 1,000-acre Bolinas Lagoon Preserve near Stinson Beach.
Randy Hall has been named regional rental sales manager of Papé Material Handling in California. Hall will oversee rental sales and operations in Central and Northern California and Reno, Nev. He has more than 10 years of experience in the equipment rental industry, most recently as the Northern California district manager for United Rentals.
Mason-McDuffie Mortgage Corp. has opened its 16th California office in Santa Rosa. Veteran lender Bart Kort is managing the office at 3550 Round Barn Blvd. and has assembled an experienced team from Sonoma County. Joining him are Jennifer Ready and Julie Bell as well as the Madsen-Shaw team that includes partners Michael Madsen, Ron Shaw, Eric Burgess, Brian Toohey and sales assistant Andrea Niewald.
RenCon Energy Products, a lighting products startup in Healdsburg, has released its first product, the Solectric Skylight System. The day-lighting system allows homeowners to bring daylight indoors without cutting a large hole in their roof. The system uses a photovoltaic (PV) solar panel and one or more high efficiency LED light sources to simulate the light-producing effect of a skylight.
Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa Medical Center's psychiatry department welcomes three new physicians -- Zeba Hafeez, Thomas Carollo, and Alicia Duenas.
Hafeez received her medical degree from Karachi University Dow Medical College in Pakistan. She completed her internship at Texas Tech University Health Science School of Medicine and residency at University of Nevada School of Medicine. She was a fellow at the UC San Francisco School of Medicine.
Carollo is a graduate of Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. He completed both his internship and residency at University of Colorado at Denver Health Sciences Center. He is a fellow from the University of Washington School of Medicine.
Duenas received her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and completed her internship and residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. She was a fellow at Cambridge Hospital in Cambridge, Mass.
