Two people were seriously injured Thursday morning in a head-on vehicle crash just outside of Sonoma, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Few details were available Thanksgiving morning because officers were still on the scene and no reports had been written, said CHP Officer Randall Wayne.
He said a woman in one of the vehicles suffered major injuries. She was airlifted to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, he said.
Another person was taken by ambulance to a hospital, possibly the same one, Wayne said.
The accident was reported at 7:58 a.m. and occurred on Arnold Drive at Orange Avenue, he said.
It involved a Honda and a Ford pickup but he did not know which one crossed over the center line, causing the crash.
Additional information is expected to be released later Thursday.
