Break from noise

<p>EDITOR: Before you voice your opinion regarding the conditional use permit to amplify music and extend hours for Aqus Café in Petaluma, the homeowners of that neighborhood would like to express their grievance concerning the current state of noise emissions from neighbor businesses.</p><!-- Nothing to do. The paragraph has already been output --><p>Between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., six days a week, the noise of industrial machinery, air compressors, delivery tractor trailer trucks and small fork lifts by Kresky signs, Morgan Manufacturing and Cowgirl Creamery are detrimental to the health and well being of neighbors. Seventy-two hours of racket is outrageous enough. Sundays, holidays and 7 p.m. to 7a.m. are our only peaceful times.</p><p>For decades, the mayor of Petaluma have protected our health with these respite hours. Inflicting more noise/ longer hours is inhumane and creates a hardship for homeowners being unable to get respite and enough sleep, compounding health issues.</p><p>Refrigeration trucks for Cowgirl Creamery show up at 5 a.m. to wait for two hours or more to be loaded/ unloaded ignoring noise ordinances, many idle with their refrigeration units running throughout their daily deliveries.</p><p>Railroading the Aqus Café proposal through without a City Council meeting is unfair and leaves me to ask “Where do you propose I put my bed?
