No. 1 Petaluma (11-0)

First round:: Cardinal Newman beat No. 8 Windsor, 7-0. Petaluma beat No. 16 Rancho Cotate, 12-7.
Notable:: The schools haven't met since Sept. 21, 1996. Cardinal Newman beat Petaluma, 35-21 ... the Trojans haven't won two playoff games in the same season since 1999 ... the Cardinals are 14-1 in the NCS playoffs since 2005, winning three section titles during that span ... Petaluma RB Sean Sullivan has 1,377 yards and 14 TDs. FB Ricky Sims has 1,032 yards and 21 TDs ... Valley Christian of Dublin is in its first season of football ... Vikings junior RB Jeremiah Walters rushed for 267 yards last week ... Valley Christian QB Nick Rubio completed 29 of 95 passes in the regular season for 829 yards ... the Vikings are coached by former NFL defensive tackle John Parrella.
