The Geysers rattled by small earthquake

A small quake rumbled in The Geysers early Tuesday, registering a 2.7 magnitude.
The quake was recorded at 4:30 a.m. and was centered two miles southeast of The Geysers and about four miles southwest of the community of Cobb. The quake had a depth of 2.3 miles, according to the United States Geological Survey, which tracks quakes worldwide.
The area suffers frequent earthquakes of varying magnitudes and had a 3.0 quake at about 9:10 p.m. Saturday. That one was two miles northwest of The Geysers and six miles west of Cobb.
