Deputies believe two people involved in Talmage pot-sale homicide

<p>Mendocino County Sheriff's authorities continue to search for suspects in what's believed to be a marijuana-related shooting death of a Ukiah-area man last week.</p><p>Michael Anthony Hunter, 24, was killed Wednesday afternoon at his home on Mill Creek Road in Talmage.</p><p>The shooting appears to be related to the sale of marijuana, said Sheriff's Capt. Kurt Smallcomb.</p><p>Deputies were called to Hunter's home at about 3 p.m. Wednesday by a woman reporting a disturbance, he said. When they arrived, they found Hunter on the living room floor. Live saving efforts were begun and Hunter was taken to Ukiah Valley Medical Center where he died, Smallcomb said.</p><p>Officials last week questioned a person of interest in the case but he is not considered a suspect, Smallcomb said. That man, Joseph Starrett, was booked into the county jail on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, he said.</p><p>Smallcomb said at least two people were involved in the shooting.
