A motorist who ran a pickup into a power pole on Gravenstein Highway near Graton cut power to about 2,640 households and businesses early Saturday, PG&E said.
Most electricity was restored shortly after noon Saturday, spokeswoman Brandi Ehlers said.
Authorities said the 1:26 a.m. incident dropped power lines onto Highway 116 near Mom’s Apple Pie.
The CHP said the power pole was struck by a 2004 Dodge Ram pickup whose driver then abandoned the truck. A search of the area failed to turn up a suspect, Sgt. Jeff Abrams said.
