A Santa Rosa man attacked two roommates with a baseball bat Sunday afternoon at their home on Sonoma Avenue, police said.

Kenneth Cropley, 47, was reportedly beating the male roommates with the bat in the 3600 block of Sonoma Avenue when one of them called 911, Police Sgt. Mike Clark said.

After sustaining multiple blows, “one of the victims tackled him and pushed him down the stairs,” Clark said.

The roommates were restraining Cropley when officers arrived at about 2:30 p.m.

Cropley and both victims were being treated for their injuries late Sunday afternoon, Clark said.

He said once released from the hospital, Cropley would be booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
