Santa Rosa man accused of beating roommates with bat

<p>A Santa Rosa man attacked two roommates with a baseball bat Sunday afternoon at their home on Sonoma Avenue, police said.</p><p>Kenneth Cropley, 47, was reportedly beating the male roommates with the bat in the 3600 block of Sonoma Avenue when one of them called 911, Police Sgt. Mike Clark said.</p><p>After sustaining multiple blows, “one of the victims tackled him and pushed him down the stairs,” Clark said.</p><p>The roommates were restraining Cropley when officers arrived at about 2:30 p.m.</p><p>Cropley and both victims were being treated for their injuries late Sunday afternoon, Clark said.</p><p>He said once released from the hospital, Cropley would be booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.</p>
