A fire at a west Santa Rosa home burned the inside of its garage Sunday afternoon, fire officials said.
Fire dispatchers received several calls at about 4:15 p.m. about heavy, white smoke coming from the garage in the 2200 block of Valley West Court. A woman in the home also called 911 and fled the house, Battalion Chief Mark Basque said.
The fire burned contents stored in the rafters and along one side of the garage before firefighters put it out. Basque estimated damage at $10,000 to $15,000.
The fire didn’t damage the rest of the home, he said.
The woman was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.
Basque said the fire’s cause was under investigation.
