The Petaluma Police Department will be conducting two DUI and driver’s license checkpoints on Friday, April 2.
The locations and times of the checkpoints are not being disclosed in advance, said Sgt. Ken Savano.
These operations are being conducted to raise awareness of impaired driving by educating motorists, as well as arresting impaired drivers and those driving without a license or with a suspended license. Funding for these operations is being provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
