Howarth Park parking fee may be postponed

<p>The Santa Rosa City Council may postpone a plan to charge people $5 to park at Howarth Park until after the Nov. 2 election.</p><p>City officials had planned to ask the council Tuesday for approval to buy the parking stations needed to begin the controversial program.</p><p>But it's possible the council may delay that program, which was supposed to start Sept. 1, according to Interim City Manager Wayne Goldberg.</p><p>Councilman Gary Wysocky hinted last week that he might oppose the parking plan if a sales tax revenue measure passed in November.</p>
