Nothing sets the tone of harvest more deliciously than a harvest lunch, a chance to break bread and siphon barrels in celebration of the season's bounty. While many wineries host harvest lunches for their worthy workers or for wine club members, some also like to put on a festive feast for you, the hungry, thirsty public, who may also be asked to put in a stomp or two of work. Here are some suggestions for where you can take part in a bit of Wine Country revelry.
Harvest Luncheon Series, Michel-Schlumberger:
September 9 through 11, 16 through18 and 23 through 25. Harvest at Schweiger Vineyards:
September 16, 23 and 30, October 7. Get up to Schweiger's 2,000-foot mountaintop vineyard and help with grape sampling, sugar testing, handpicking grapes, destemming and stomping with your very own feet. Y'all Come Harvest Party, Trefethen Family Vineyards:

Harvest Party and Grape Stomp, Peju Winery:

Annual Harvest Celebration, Lambert Bridge Winery:
October 2. Lambert Bridge's sixth-annual harvest party celebrates local farmers, ranchers and artisan producers within the day's menu, prepared by Andrea Mugnaini in the winery's country garden, live music included. 3 to 7 p.m. $110. Reservations required. 4085 West Dry Creek Road, Healdsburg,

Harvest Tasting, Jarvis Winery:

Annual Harvest Festival, Robledo Family Winery:
