Bicycle to work on Thursday

<p>The roads around Sonoma County will be alive with cyclists Thursday during the Bay Area's 18th Annual “Bike to Work Day.”</p><p>Early morning bikers can stop for coffee and treats from 6 to 9 a.m. at dozens of “energizer stations” on roadsides from Petaluma to Cloverdale.</p><p>On the way home, riders can enjoy parties and happy hour celebrations thrown by local restaurants and businesses.</p><p>“My favorite thing about biking...is the strong sense of community that can develop,” said Sandra Lupien, outreach director for the Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition. “Bike Home Celebrations offer longtime bike commuters a chance to mingle with the bike-curious in an upbeat, social environment.”</p><p>For more information and to find locations of energizer stations, visit www.bikesonoma.org or call 545-0153. </p><p>-- Cathy Bussewitz</p>
