Four injured in Highway 37 crash near Sears Point

<p>Two Vallejo boys, aged 7 and 10, suffered major head injuries in a Tuesday morning vehicle crash that temporarily closed down Highways 37 and 121 near Sears Point, the CHP said.</p><p>The youths were passengers in their father's westbound Honda Civic when the 38-year-old driver collided with a Toyota Scion driven by a 53-year-old Fairfield woman around 7:20 a.m. Tuesday, the CHP said.</p><p>Both drivers were taken by ground ambulance to local hospitals for treatment of injuries, but the boys were airlifted by REACH helicopter to Oakland Children's Hospital, the CHP said.</p><p>Both were said to be conscious and responsive, though their conditions were not known.</p><p>Investigators were trying to determine from where and in what direction the Scion was traveling before the crash occurred.</p><p>The crash caused substantial backup during the morning commute, but the intersection was cleared after about 40 minutes, authorities said.</p>
