Petaluma driver suspected in DUI hit-and-run

<p>A 37-year-old Petaluma man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of sideswiping a vehicle in west Petaluma then driving away, all while drunk, Petaluma police said.</p><p>Sgt. Ralph Evans said Keith Michelucci had a blood-alcohol level of 0.25 percent following his arrest, according to a preliminary test.</p><p>A driver called police at 5:49 p.m. to report a driver in an adjacent lane on northbound Lakeville Street sideswiped the victim's car and then drove away, Evans said.</p><p>The victim, who was unidentified, followed Michelucci and called police on a cellphone. Michelucci drove out of the city and then headed back on southbound Petaluma Boulevard North, Evans said.</p><p>Officers pulled Michelucci over near the Petaluma Police Department and Michelucci admitted to the crash, Evans said. Michelucci was on probation for a prior drunken-driving offense, he said.</p><p>He was booked into Sonoma County Jail on $25,000 bail.-- Julie Johnson</p>
