Authorities name Mendocino County toddler who drowned in pond

<p>A child who drowned in a Willits-area pond Thursday has been identified as Abram Scott Perrill.</p><p>He was 29 months old, Mendocino County Sheriff's officials said, correcting the age given earlier.</p><p>The child was part of a gathering of family and friends visiting the child's Hearst Road home.</p><p>They had gone inside the home for lunch when the boy's father discovered the child was not in a room playing with other children. He may have slipped out of the house as others were coming inside, officials said.</p><p>A search ensued and the boy was found, face down, in the pond, sheriff's officials said.</p>
