Letter of the Day: Oyster farm fight

<p><b>Oyster farm fight</b></p><p>EDITOR: Our federal and state lawmakers are once again about to show their true colors when it comes to supporting business interests in California. The controversy over the oyster farm in Drakes Bay is an example of the direction our state is headed if you own a small business (“Oyster farm battle,” Sunday).</p><p>The only politician who had the guts to come out supporting the oyster farm was Sen. Diane Feinstein, whereas Rep. Lynn Woolsey and Assemblyman Jared Huffman shrunk into the background and would not support a business in their own district.</p><p>The National Park Service and various environmental groups say that Drakes Estero has to return to wilderness status. If lawmakers continue this trend, it would appear that our whole state may attain wilderness status.</p><p>RAY ROMELLI</p><p>Valley Ford</p>
