A call to Petaluma police about a possible drunken driver with a child in the car led to the arrest of a Petaluma man, police reported Monday.
Officers stopped driver Pedro Lopez-Perez, 44, at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday as he was arriving at a parking lot on East Washington Street, said Sgt. Andrew Urton.
The driver, who had a six-year-old child in his car, failed sobriety tests and was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and felony child endangerment, driving with a suspended license and violating his probation, said Urton.
The child was taken by a family member and Lopez-Perez was taken to the Sonoma County Jail and booked. His bail was set at $25,000.
