Clearlake woman jailed after stabbing self, blaming boyfriend

<p>A Clearlake woman was arrested Tuesday afternoon for stabbing herself in the arm with a knife and then calling police to blame it on her boyfriend, police said.</p><p>Antoinette Hamilton, 27, admitted inflicting the injury herself when authorities confronted her with evidence and statements from the boyfriend contradicting what she had first reported, police said.</p><p>Hamilton called police around 1:13 a.m. Tuesday and said her 48-year-old boyfriend had hurt her during a fight at a home on Lakeshore Drive.</p><p>When evidence inside the house corroborated the man's assertion that she had injured herself, she was confronted at St. Helena Hospital and admitted the truth.</p><p>Hamilton was arrested on suspicion of falsely reporting felony domestic violence and booked into the Lake County Jail, authorities said.</p>
