SV takes one of three in Anderson Valley Tournament

The St. Vincent boys basketball team tipped off its season by winning one of three games in Anderson Valley’s Redwood Classic Tournament in Boonville.
St. Vincent stumbled in its opening game, losing to Pinewood, 62-38. Pierson scored 12 points to lead the Mustangs.
St. Vincent bounced back for its first win, defeating host Anderson Valley, 47-31, behind 21 points from Pierson.
Tulelake downed the Mustangs, 42-31, in their final game. St. Vincent led, 23-22, at the half, but scored only eight points in the second half.
St. Vincent continues on the tournament-trail this weekend, playing in the Cloverdale Tournament Thursday through Saturday.
