Melvin Lloyd Goldblatt

<p>During his lifetime, Petaluma resident Melvin Lloyd Goldblatt was a decorated Army veteran and a business owner.</p><p>Mr. Goldblatt died on Nov. 11, 2012 at the age of 90.</p><p>A native of Kansas City, M.O., Mr. Goldblatt served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was awarded both the Silver and Bronze Stars.</p><p>He founded First Service Sports Supply in 1974, which is now being run by his son, Dan Goldblatt, in Petaluma.</p><p>He is survived by his wife of 60 years Phyllis Goldblatt of Petaluma; children, Justine Bourassa and Dan Goldblatt, both of Petaluma; and grandchildren.</p><p>A celebration of life was held. </p><p>Memorial donations may be made to Doctors without Borders, www.doctorswithoutborders.org.</p>
