River Heritage Center open house on Sunday

<p>Friends of the Petaluma River invites the public to a holiday open house at the David Yearsley River Heritage Center on Sunday, Dec. 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. </p><p>Festivities include live music, craft activities, and decorating gingerbread cookies. Free boat rides will be offered from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.</p><p>From 1 to 3 p.m., the group will celebrate the year's accomplishments and the winners of its 2012 photo contest. </p><p>Food includes hors d'oeuvres from the Apple Box, Whole Foods Market, and others, and drinks will be provided by Lagunitas Brewing Co.
