River Heritage Center open house on Sunday

Friends of the Petaluma River invites the public to a holiday open house at the David Yearsley River Heritage Center on Sunday, Dec. 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Festivities include live music, craft activities, and decorating gingerbread cookies. Free boat rides will be offered from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
From 1 to 3 p.m., the group will celebrate the year's accomplishments and the winners of its 2012 photo contest.
Food includes hors d'oeuvres from the Apple Box, Whole Foods Market, and others, and drinks will be provided by Lagunitas Brewing Co. To learn more, visit www.friendsofthepetalumariver.org
