Russian River blueprint focus of public meeting Thursday

<p>Officials with a say on how the Russian River's water is apportioned between people and rare fish species will hold a public meeting Thursday to discuss the river's chief blueprint.</p><p>The meeting, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. inside the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors chambers, will focus on the federally mandated restoration plan meant to help recover endangered coho salmon and threatened steelhead trout in the watershed. </p><p>Topics to be covered include an update on the study of the river's historic jetty near Jenner, the results of fish surveys and the beginning of habitat enhancement projects in Dry Creek.</p><p>The meeting will involve a policy committee of elected and appointed officials with a stake in the river.
