Kids, parents ring in 2013 with Snoopy, root beer floats

Hundreds of balloons rained down on kids and their parents Monday during a New Year's Eve event at the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa.

CHRISTOPHER CHUNG/ PDKids scrambled for the brightly colored orbs as they fell from overhead nets in the museum's Great Hall.
The kids also participated in a root beer toast and mingled with Woodstock and a top hat-wearing Snoopy.
Organizers said more than 1,100 people attended the event.
