A Willits woman was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and drunken driving after a passenger in her car was killed in a Mendocino County crash.

The crash happened at about 9 p.m. Friday on Highway 20 near Willits, the CHP said.

Ana Fierro, 21 was driving east when she lost control of her 1990 Buick sedan and hit a westbound 2005 Toyota Tundra with four people in it.

Fierro and a passenger in the Toyota were injured. Fierro's passenger, a 33-year-old Willits man whose name was not released, was killed.

The CHP said Fierro's speed and intoxication caused her to skid and cross into the other lane.
