St. Vincent girls split league games

The st. Vincent High School girls basketball team had mixed results in a pair of North Central League II games last week.
Playing at Sonoma Academy, St. Vincent got off to a cold-shooting start and lost, 44-39. St, Vincent scored just 15 first-half points and trailed at halftime, 19-15.
Grace Jennings accounted for much of the St. Vincent offensive with 17 points, while Urysal Baumgarten added 12 and pulled down 11 rebounds.
Savannah Stoughton led Sonoma Academy with 14 points, with Willow Gallagher scored 12 and Allison Ashley 10.
St. Vincent bounced back from that loss to win at home, beating Upper Lake, 58-22. St. Vincent outscored Upper Lake, 22-3, in the opening quarter.
Jennings led the Lady Mustangs with 13 points, with Lauren Whitman adding 11.
St. Vincent is now 1-2 in league play and 8-5 overall.
St, Vincent plays at Tomales Friday night after hosting Technology High from Rohnert Park on Tuesday.
