Police seek public's help identifying Petaluma shoplifting suspect

<p>An apparent Giants fan was caught on tape Tuesday at the Kmart store in Petaluma, where security personnel believe he walked off with about $300 in merchandise, leaving the packaging behind, police said.</p><p>Authorities hope someone recognizes the young man, believed to be in his early 20s or late teens.</p><p>He was wearing a San Francisco Giants lanyard around his neck while in the North McDowell Boulevard store, authorities said.</p><p>Among the items stolen were an Internet router, cables, batteries and a laser pointer. The suspect apparently hid them in his clothes, police said.</p><p>Anyone recognizes the individual in the surveillance photo is asked to call police at (707) 778-4372.</p>
