Sonoma County sheriff's deputies arrested three people Friday, including a man who tried to hide in a woman's house, after they failed to pull over for a traffic stop in southwest Santa Rosa, a sheriff's spokesman said.
Lt. Tim Duke said the two men and one woman were seen speeding about 1:30 p.m. in a maroon Cadillac in the Roseland area.
They wouldn't pull over and instead accelerated to 80 mph in a 40 mph zone, Duke said.
Deputies stopped the pursuit but the car was soon spotted on Emerald Court, Duke said.
A man and woman were arrested as they were coming out of a backyard, he said.
They were passengers Carlos Alcazar, 18, of Rohnert Park and Gabriela Hall, also 18, of Santa Rosa, Duke said.
The third person, driver Eric Guardado-Viruete, 20, of Santa Rosa was arrested after a
crying woman called deputies to her Sunset Avenue house, Duke said.
Deputies found him hiding under blankets in a bedroom, Duke said.
All three were booked into Sonoma County jail with Guardado-Viruete arrested on suspicion of vehicular evading, burglary, false imprisonment and driving on a suspended license, Duke said.
