A Ukiah gang member, wanted by law officers since he removed his ankle monitor after being released from prison this summer, was back in custody Sunday, reported Mendocino County sheriff's officials.
The norteño gang member got out of prison in July after serving time for an assault with a deadly weapon.
Detectives found Samuel Robert Sierra, 23, at a South State Street apartment. They went to the residence early Friday with an arrest warrant.
They also arrested his girlfriend, Felicia Linda Torres, 26. Three children ages 2 to 5 were taken by county Child Protective Services.
Detectives found a loaded, sawed-off shotgun within reach of Sierra's bed, officials said.
Sierra was arrested on suspicion of being a felon with a short-barreled shotgun, child endangerment, possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and violating his parole.
Torres was arrested on suspicion of the same charges, as well as harboring a fugitive.
Bail for Torres was set at $25,000. Sierra was being held without bail due to the parole violation.
