A speeding motorcycle rider stopped by Fort Bragg police carried a stolen gun reported Fort Bragg police officials.
Taylor Haymes, 29, of Fort Bragg was stopped at about 10:40 a.m. Sunday on Oak Street by an officer for going too fast.
Officer Jeremy Mason saw a large fixed-blade knife attached to the motorcycle frame and asked the rider to step away from the bike, officials said.
Haymes initially told the officer he wasn't carrying any weapons, then after agreeing to be searched, admitted he had a gun, officials said.
The gun was in a shoulder holster. Officers also found a fixed-blade knife hidden under his jacket.
Police reported the gun had been stolen from a Ukiah home.
Officers arrested Haymes on suspicion of possessing a concealed gun, possessing stolen property and a hidden dagger.
He was taken to the Mendocino County Jail.
