A Eureka woman crashed off Highway 101 north of Willits and was killed when she was thrown from her rolling pickup, the CHP reported Tuesday.
The driver was Kelli Elizabeth Mcfarland, 51, said CHP Officer Jeremy Lozensky.
She lost control of her 1967 Chevrolet truck Monday night on a northbound curve near the Reynolds Highway. It ran off the road, hit several trees and flipped, eventually landing on its roof, Lozensky said.
Mcfarland's body was found outside of the truck.
CHP investigators don't believe the woman was wearing a seat belt. The truck did have a lap belt, the officer said.
The cause of the accident remained under investigation, including whether alcohol or drugs were a factor.
Lozensky asked anyone with information about the crash to contact officers at 923-2155.
