“In the spirit of community and togetherness, please join the staff, volunteers and friends of Petaluma Bounty for a day on, not a day off, to honor MLK day this year,” said event organizers in a press release. “It may be winter, but we've got a ton of fun projects going on over at the farm, and we need your help.”
Organizers say there are projects for the young and the old; as well as for those with green thumbs and those without.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Jan. 21 at the Bounty Community Farm, 55 Shasta Ave.
Anyone planning to attend is asked to RSVP to Lennie Larkin at farm@petalumabounty.org or (707) 364-4883, though people are welcome to simply show up as well. Attendees should bring work shoes, warm clothes, a lunch and something to share.
