Petaluma police are searching for a man who stole three rolls of lottery scratcher tickets from a 7-Eleven Jan. 11, and then returned later to cash three of the stolen tickets.
According to police, a black man in his 40s entered the 7-Eleven on D Street at about 10:15 a.m. He stole the tickets and exited the store. Later that morning, the same man returned to the same 7-Eleven with three of the winning stolen tickets and cashed them out.
Store employees contacted the state lottery office and the Petaluma police, who believe the suspect lives in Emeryville.
Officers said the investigation is ongoing.
