Volunteers with Petaluma Bounty will be working hard at the community farm on Monday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, when many other folks will be taking the day off.
In the spirit of “a day on, not a day off,” volunteers will help with seasonal duties at the farm, 55 Shasta Ave.
Projects will include beautifying and mulching the pathways, weeding annual grasses, laying compost around fruit trees, painting signs and more.
Organizers say there are projects appropriate for all ages and those experienced with gardening or not.
Work will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and participants are asked to wear work shoes and warm clothes and bring a lunch for yourself or something to share with others.
RSVPs are welcome but not required: farm@petalumabounty.org or 364-4883.
