Glen Ellen cat rabies case prompts more vaccination clinics

<p>VIP PetCare of Windsor is adding more clinics to vaccinate pets against rabies until the end of this month.</p><p>The additional vaccinations, which cost $5, were started after a Glen Ellen family's pet cat contracted rabies and bit family members. The cat had not been vaccinated against rabies.</p><p>The incident, the first time a domestic pet has contracted rabies in Sonoma County since 1997, prompted a call from the Sonoma County Department of Health Services for residents to have their pets vaccinated.</p><p>For information on the clinics, contact VIPPetCare.com or 800-427-7973.</p>
