Station Casinos on Monday released drawings of what the enormous Las Vegas-style Indian casino under construction now outside Rohnert Park will look like when it opens its doors. That is projected to take place by the end of the year.
The announcement from the company, which will manage the casino for seven years after it opens, described the casino as being designed in a style of “casual contemporary elegance.”
The drawings show a single story building of beige and brown tones crowned by a swooping, slide-like feature over the entrance.
The $800 million project is to include a hotel, but a date for its construction has not been announced. The early renderings of the project, issued more than six years ago, depicted the hotel as an elongated seven-story glass structure that rose from the south, behind the casino.
The 320,000-square-foot casino — to include on the order of nine restaurants and eating areas — is being built on 66 acres in the northwest corner of the tribe's 254-acre reservation off Wilfred Avenue, south of Home Dept.
