Station Casinos unveils Graton Resort & Casino design

<p>Station Casinos on Monday released drawings of what the enormous Las Vegas-style Indian casino under construction now outside Rohnert Park will look like when it opens its doors. That is projected to take place by the end of the year.</p><p>The announcement from the company, which will manage the casino for seven years after it opens, described the casino as being designed in a style of “casual contemporary elegance.”</p><p>The drawings show a single story building of beige and brown tones crowned by a swooping, slide-like feature over the entrance.</p><p>The $800 million project is to include a hotel, but a date for its construction has not been announced. The early renderings of the project, issued more than six years ago, depicted the hotel as an elongated seven-story glass structure that rose from the south, behind the casino.</p><p>The 320,000-square-foot casino — to include on the order of nine restaurants and eating areas — is being built on 66 acres in the northwest corner of the tribe's 254-acre reservation off Wilfred Avenue, south of Home Dept.</p>
