Authorities on Tuesday were searching for an armed man who robbed a south Santa Rosa market.
The robbery was reported just before 4 p.m. at the Stony Point Market on Butler Avenue near Stony Point Road, Sonoma County sheriff's officials said.
The suspect was described as wearing a red sweatshirt with white writing, a black mask and white gloves and was carrying a black backpack, according to dispatch reports.
The man reportedly brandished a high-caliber long-barreled chrome revolver.
He was last seen running south on Stony Point Road near Todd Road. Deputies flooded the area but the suspect escaped.
During the search, a patrol car apparently crashed into another car, the CHP reported.
