Letter of the Day: Business friendly

<p><b>Business friendly</b></p><p>EDITOR: Am I business friendly? It depends on the business. Highly polluting 19th century technologies such as oil and gas need to be phased out. And big-box stores that come to town with minimum-wage jobs to take money out of our local economy are not welcome either. But affiliates of the Share Exchange and Go Local, wind and solar energy, Silicon Valley we need to take every reasonable step to encourage. What we need is socially responsible businesses that address the needs of the community. Those others can go to Texas. Or better yet, somewhere even warmer.</p><p>EDWARD MEISSE</p><p>Santa Rosa</p>
