SAN FRANCISCO — Police say two men are recovering from their injuries after they were attacked with a hatchet during a home invasion robbery in San Francisco's tony Noe Valley neighborhood.
Officer Albie Esparza, a police spokesman, said Friday that the robbery occurred about 11:15 p.m. Thursday after a 58-year-old man came home to find his roommate, a 69-year-old man, tied up in his bedroom and suffering from hatchet wounds.
Esparza said three men then attacked the 58-year-old man with a hatchet before fleeing. Both victims were taken to the hospital after suffering deep lacerations that are considered non-life-threatening.
Police say no arrests have been made.
The incident is under investigation.
