Mark Nelson has been hired as the Hugh Codding Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Sonoma State University. Nelson, the former president and COO of the Nelson Family of Companies, will work with faculty, students and community organizations on entrepreneurial initiatives.
Kim August has joined Summit State Bank as vice president and commercial loan officer. She has more than 25 years of banking experience in Sonoma County, serving as a vice president at Exchange Bank and Bank of Marin.
Harasyn Sipes has been promoted to director of Julie Nation Academy. She joined the Santa Rosa company in 2010 as assistant director and director of modeling.
Teresa Williams has joined the Frank Howard Allen office in Kenwood, where she is working as a team with longtime real estate agent Doug del Fava and Shannon Parker. Previously, Williams worked at Century 21 in Santa Rosa. She also owns Teresa Williams Properties, where she specializes in selling manufactured homes.
Bill Green has been named national sales director at Wilson Artisan Wineries. Previously, he worked as a sales executive with Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits, Kobrand Corporation and the E&J Gallo Winery.
Doug Hilberman, president of AXIA Architects, has been appointed 2013 chairman of the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce, succeeding Redwood Credit Union CEO Brett Martinez.
The chamber announced five new appointees to its executive committee. They include: Tiffany Krankemann, with Krankemann Law Offices, chair of the Young Professionals Network; Mary Leonard-Wilson, Presidio Bank, finance chair; Steve Schofield, American River Bank, advocacy council chair; Jodi Shubin, Pisenti & Brinker, special events chair; and Fred Van Milligen, JSDU, workforce development chair.
Four new board members include Victor Assad, Medtronic; Terry Darcy, Darcy’s Fine Jewelers; Ken Fischang, Sonoma County Tourism; and Kelli Nevin, PG&E.
Rodney Sichel, president and CEO of Empire Asphalt, has been named 2013 board president of the Northern California Engineering Contractors Association. Other members of the executive committee include: Tom Donohoe, Ghilotti Bros. Inc., president-elect; Bryce Pattison, Royal Petroleum, treasurer; Lacey Torkelson Smith, Wells Fargo Insurance, secretary; and Gail Cochran, RCX Inc., past-president.
Rita Loskill has joined the board of directors at Alliance Medical Center, which operates clinics in Healdsburg and Windsor. Before retiring and moving to Healdsburg, she spent seven years as the executive director of the Glaucoma Research Foundation in San Francisco.
Cara Recine has opened the Arthur Murray Dance Center, which offers private and group lessons. The center is located in Santa Rosa’s Railroad Square at 415 Davis St.
