Santa Rosa police seek suspect in attempted robbery at ATM

<p>Santa Rosa police were searching Thursday night for an armed suspect who fled after he ordered a man to withdraw money from an ATM at a downtown bank.</p><p>The victim arranged to meet with the suspect at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday in northwest Santa Rosa, ostensibly to purchase a cellphone from the man, police Sgt. Eric Litchfield said.</p><p>Instead, the suspect demanded money from the victim, who ended up driving the pair to Wells Fargo Bank on B Street. There the victim withdrew cash from an ATM while the suspect displayed a firearm from beneath his shirt.</p><p>Litchfield said the suspect took off running toward Santa Rosa Plaza after the victim yelled for help.</p>
