A call about suspected drug sales at a downtown Petaluma parking garage Sunday evening brought an officer and police dog to the C Street garage, reported Petaluma police Monday.
At about 6:40 p.m. Officer Corey Joerger contacted two people in a parked car. She smelled burning marijuana inside the car, reported Petaluma Lt. Tim Lyons.
Inside the car the officer found cash and more than an ounce of marijuana separated into smaller bags, said Lyons.
Jake M. Anderson, 19, of Petaluma was arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana for sale.
He was taken to the Sonoma County Jail.
