Suspected DUI driver arrested after fleeing Petaluma crash scene

<p>A young Petaluma man who ran into a utility pole and fled the crash was taken in custody, suspected of drunken driving and hit and run, reported Petaluma police Monday.</p><p>The car struck the pole at I Street and Sunnyslope Avenue at about 12:50 a.m. Monday, reported Lt. Tim Lyons.</p><p>Officers called to the scene found the damaged pole and car but no driver.</p><p>He was a few blocks away, near his home, when officers located him, Lyons said.</p><p>Clint E. Moheng, 22, appeared to be drunk and was arrested.</p><p>Moheng was one of seven suspected drunken drivers arrested during the weekend by Petaluma police.</p><p>That brought the total this year so far to 55, compared to 48 suspected drunken drivers last year by March 3.</p><p>Lyons said there have been five hit-and-run cases involving suspected drunken drivers.</p>
