Petaluma man held on assault charge

<p>A man armed with a baseball bat took a swing at another man during a fight Monday night, missing the man but damaging a nearby wall, reported Petaluma police.</p><p>The armed man threatened to kill the other with the bat, and the victim called police from his cell phone, reported Petaluma Sgt. Andrew Urton.</p><p>Officers went to a home on Santa Ines Way after getting the 8:05 p.m. call.</p><p>The assault had stopped after police were called, Urton said.</p><p>Officers arrested Kenneth Wade, 44, on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon and making death threats, also a felony.</p><p>Wade was taken to the Sonoma County Jail.</p>
