A man armed with a baseball bat took a swing at another man during a fight Monday night, missing the man but damaging a nearby wall, reported Petaluma police.
The armed man threatened to kill the other with the bat, and the victim called police from his cell phone, reported Petaluma Sgt. Andrew Urton.
Officers went to a home on Santa Ines Way after getting the 8:05 p.m. call.
The assault had stopped after police were called, Urton said.
Officers arrested Kenneth Wade, 44, on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon and making death threats, also a felony.
Wade was taken to the Sonoma County Jail.
